Lucknow University has officially announced the admission process for its MBA and MBA (Tourism & Travel Management) programs for the academic session 2026-27. The admissions will be conducted under the centralized admission system, ensuring a streamlined and transparent selection process for aspiring candidates.
Preference for CAT 2025 Candidates
According to Admission Coordinator Anitya Gaurav, candidates who have appeared in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 will be given priority during the first phase of admissions. This phase will be entirely based on the CAT 2025 percentile scores. General category applicants must have secured at least 50 percentile to be eligible. However, candidates from OBC, SC, ST, and PwBD categories benefit from a relaxation of 5 percentile points, making the minimum requirement 45 percentile. Seats will be allocated strictly on the basis of merit as per the percentile scores.
Second Phase: LUMET 2026
For any remaining vacant seats after the first phase, the university will conduct a second phase through the Lucknow University Management Entrance Test (LUMET) 2026. In this phase, selection will be determined by the marks obtained in the written examination. This two-phase approach ensures that all seats are filled efficiently while giving due weightage to national-level test scores.
Application Process and Important Dates
Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the Samarth portal, which is the official platform for the centralized admission system. The last date to submit the application form is June 15. Applicants must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before applying. The entire process is designed for both MBA and MBA (TTM) programs, making it convenient for candidates to apply for their preferred course.
This announcement brings clarity to thousands of aspirants seeking management education at one of India's premier universities. With a clear timeline and transparent criteria, Lucknow University aims to attract the best talent for its MBA programs.
