'Rings of Power' Season 3 Premieres November 11, 2026

Prime Video has officially announced that 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' will return for its third season on November 11, 2026, following a two-year hiatus. The fantasy series will once again transport viewers to Middle-earth, where rising dark magic, scattered kingdoms, new alliances, and the growing presence of grey wizards await. The release date strategically places the show near HBO Max's upcoming 'Harry Potter' series, which is expected around Christmas 2026.

'The Rings of Power' Season 3 Release Date

According to Prime Video, the announcement was made during Amazon's upfront presentation in New York last week. The streamer confirmed that Season 3 will debut before the end of 2026. Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios, stated, 'From the very beginning, this series has embodied the scale, ambition, and cinematic storytelling that define Prime Video's biggest global series.' He added, 'The extraordinary response from millions of fans around the world has made it clear that this journey through Middle-earth continues to resonate, and that momentum has only grown heading into Season Three.'

'The Rings of Power' Cast and Viewership Details

The streamer also highlighted the show's impressive performance. Season 1 remains the biggest TV series premiere ever, while Season 2 ranks among its top five most-watched returning seasons. The second season also reached number one on Nielsen's Streaming Top 10 Original Series chart after its return and stayed in the top half of that chart throughout the season.
