Samsung's next-generation foldable smartphones have surfaced in leaked renders, giving us an early look at the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The images, reportedly from reliable leaks, showcase significant design refinements ahead of the anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event in 2026.
Design Evolution
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra appear to adopt a slimmer profile with reduced bezels and a more seamless hinge mechanism. The Fold 8 Ultra is expected to feature a larger cover display and an enhanced camera system, potentially including a periscope zoom lens. The Z Flip 8 retains its compact clamshell form but with a larger external display, likely for improved usability without unfolding.
Camera Upgrades
Leaked specifications suggest the Fold 8 series will sport a 200MP main sensor, while the Flip 8 may get a 50MP primary camera. Both devices are rumored to include under-display camera technology for the main screen.
Launch Timeline
Samsung is expected to unveil the trio at its Galaxy Unpacked event in August 2026, alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Buds Pro 3. The devices are likely to run One UI 7 based on Android 16.
As with all leaks, details should be taken with caution until official confirmation from Samsung.
