TIRUPUR: A summer special camp for government school students is set to take place in Tirupur from May 6 to May 16. The camp, jointly organized by the district administration and the school education department, will be hosted at Jaivabai Model Girls Higher Secondary School.
Camp Details and Activities
Sessions will run daily from 10 am to 1 pm. Students enrolled in classes VII through XI across schools in Tirupur district are eligible to register and participate. The camp will feature around 10 diverse activities, including chess, art and painting, artificial intelligence and robotics, archery, horse riding, spoken English, drone training, photography, baking and cooking, and pottery.
Objective of the Initiative
Officials stated that the initiative aims to enhance students' skills and provide exposure beyond the regular academic curriculum during the summer vacation. A preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Manish Narnaware on Thursday. The meeting was attended by District Chief Educational Officer Punitha Anthoniyammal, along with trainers from Tirupur Chess Academy, Tirupur Archery Academy, Honey Bakes, Anglo Phones TCS, Surya's Stable, art teachers, potters, and photographers.
This camp is expected to offer a unique opportunity for students to explore new interests and develop practical skills in a fun and engaging environment.
