Three Arrested for Online Gambling in Goa

Colva police arrested three people from Gujarat for allegedly operating an online gambling racket from a rented apartment in Vaswaddo, Benaulim, and seized materials worth Rs 2.6 lakh.

Police Raid and Arrests

Acting on specific information about illegal online betting activities, police said they obtained a search warrant and conducted a raid during the intervening night of April 24 and 25. They apprehended Sanny Telang, 30, and Rahul Patel, 33, both residents of Ahmedabad, along with Tejaskumar Dabagar, 36, from Mehsana. The trio was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting bets on computer-based games from within the premises.

Seized Items

Police seized two laptops, five mobile phones, and other equipment suspected to have been used for online gambling.
