Xiaomi is set to globally unveil the 17T series smartphones on May 28, following the launch of the premium Xiaomi 17 series. The 17T series includes two variants: the standard Xiaomi 17T and the higher-end Xiaomi 17T Pro, each with distinct specifications tailored to different user preferences.
Xiaomi 17T Standard Specifications
The standard Xiaomi 17T features a 6.59-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. It comes with 12GB of RAM and offers a triple-camera setup. The device is equipped with a substantial 6,500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, ensuring extended usage and quick power top-ups.
Xiaomi 17T Pro Premium Features
The Xiaomi 17T Pro steps up with a larger 6.83-inch display boasting a smoother 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it runs on the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. The battery capacity is increased to 7,000mAh, with support for 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, providing faster and more convenient charging options. The camera setup remains the same triple-camera configuration as the standard model.
India Market Expansion
The Xiaomi 17T series is expected to launch in India alongside the Redmi Turbo 5, which features an even larger 7,560mAh battery with 100W wired charging. This move indicates Xiaomi's strategy to strengthen its presence in the Indian smartphone market with devices that offer high-capacity batteries and fast charging technologies.
