Classic Legends has officially launched the new 2026 Yezdi Scrambler motorcycle in the Indian market. The updated model is available in four colour variants and is priced between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.09 lakh (ex-showroom). This places it approximately Rs 4,000 higher than the outgoing version, as the company introduces significant revisions to design, features, and hardware.
Design and Chassis Updates
The 2026 Yezdi Scrambler receives a reworked chassis that is now stiffer, aimed at improving handling and stability. Styling changes include new colour options, updated tank graphics, and redesigned oval-shaped side panels. The motorcycle continues to compete directly with rivals such as the Triumph Scrambler 400X and Royal Enfield Scram 440.
Engine and Performance
Powering the Scrambler is a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that now delivers 29.5bhp and 30Nm of torque. Improvements have been made to the transmission for smoother gear shifts. The motorcycle offers three ride modes: Road, Off-Road, and Rain, allowing riders to adapt to different terrains and conditions.
Weight Reduction and Exhaust
A notable change is the reduction in dry weight by 8kg, bringing it down to 174kg from the previous 182kg. This weight loss is partly attributed to the shift from a twin-exhaust setup to a single exhaust system. The lighter weight enhances agility and maneuverability.
Features and Electronics
The key feature addition is traction control with three selectable modes, providing enhanced safety and control. The motorcycle continues with dual-channel ABS, including the option to switch off the rear system for off-road riding. These updates make the Scrambler more versatile and rider-friendly.
Suspension and Wheels
The suspension setup remains unchanged, with telescopic front forks offering 150mm of travel and a rear monoshock with 130mm of travel. The motorcycle rides on wire-spoke wheels, sized at 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear, maintaining a rugged scrambler stance.
Dimensions and Ergonomics
Ground clearance is retained at 200mm, while seat height has been increased by 13mm to 813mm. This slight increase may affect rider comfort for shorter individuals but improves ground clearance for off-road capability. The overall package positions the Yezdi Scrambler as a compelling option in the mid-size adventure segment.
