Artificial Intelligence adoption in workplaces is racing ahead of corporate training efforts. This rapid shift leaves many employees unprepared for rapidly changing roles. A new report by Genius HRTech highlights this growing gap between technology implementation and workforce readiness.

Professionals Expect Significant Role Changes

The report reveals that 71 percent of professionals believe their roles or responsibilities will change significantly over the next few years. AI-driven tools and workflows are becoming mainstream across industries. However, training programs have not kept pace with this technological transformation.

As many as 61 percent of respondents said their organisation has not provided adequate guidance on how to use AI effectively. Only 37 percent reported receiving proper training for AI integration in their work. This lack of structured support is creating uncertainty among employees facing new technological demands.

Survey Methodology and Key Findings

The findings come from an online survey conducted in November 2025. The survey included 1,704 professionals across various sectors. The comprehensive study provides insights into how AI is reshaping workplace dynamics and employee experiences.

This training gap appears to be shaping employee perceptions of AI adoption. While 55 percent of respondents felt that AI is being adopted out of necessity, 37 percent believed the push is driven more by trends than actual business needs. These perceptions highlight the importance of clear communication about AI implementation strategies.

Widespread AI Usage Despite Concerns

Despite these concerns, AI usage is already widespread in workplaces. About 67 percent of respondents said they are using AI tools to simplify or automate daily work. This statistic highlights the speed at which the technology is being integrated across different roles and functions.

Employee experiences with AI remain mixed. While 69 percent said AI has made their work processes simpler, 25 percent felt it has added complexity. This suggests that new challenges are emerging alongside efficiency gains, requiring careful management and support.

Trust in AI Outputs Remains a Challenge

Trust in AI-generated outputs continues to be a significant hurdle. Only 49 percent of professionals said they trust AI insights without manual cross-checking. Meanwhile, 36 percent said they do not trust AI outputs at all, and 15 percent said their trust depends on the specific task involved.

These trust issues underscore the need for better training and validation processes. Employees need to understand how AI systems work and how to interpret their outputs effectively.

Industry Leader Weighs In

Commenting on the findings, Genius HRTech chairman and managing director RP Yadav said, "AI is no longer a distant concept, but it's now shaping daily workflows across industries." He emphasized that while professionals value efficiency, they also expect organisations to provide clarity and training.

Yadav added, "The future workplace will thrive only when human intelligence and AI complement each other, not compete." This perspective highlights the importance of balanced approaches to AI integration that leverage both human and machine capabilities.
