Bajaj Auto has refreshed its Bajaj Chetak electric scooter lineup, introducing a new naming structure, enhanced features, and improved performance. The updated range is now available across all variants, with prices starting at Rs 91,504 (ex-showroom).
New Naming System: C Series
The most notable change is the adoption of a 'C Series' nomenclature. The Chetak range is now divided into three tiers: C 35, C 30, and C 25, replacing the earlier model designations.
Key Feature Updates
The flagship model, the C 35 01, now comes with Google Maps integration built into the Chetak app, replacing the previous in-house navigation solution. This feature enhances real-time navigation and route planning for riders.
Performance Enhancements
Top speeds have been increased across the board:
- C 35 01 and C 35 02: now reach 80 kmph (up from 73 kmph)
- C 35 03 and C 30 01: now top out at 70 kmph (up from 63 kmph)
- C 25 01: now offers a top speed of 60 kmph (up from 55 kmph)
The flagship model's motor output has been increased to 4.8 kW from 4.5 kW, providing better acceleration and power delivery.
Faster Charging
Charging times have improved significantly. The C 30 01 now charges from 0 to 80 percent in just 2 hours and 55 minutes, nearly an hour faster than the previous model.
Standard Features
Bajaj has made several features standard across the C 35 and C 30 series, including ride modes and hill hold assist, which were previously optional add-ons. This adds more value for customers.
Over-the-Air Updates
The C 35 01 and C 35 02 now support over-the-air (OTA) updates, enabling users to receive software upgrades remotely without visiting a service center. This ensures the scooter stays up-to-date with the latest features and improvements.
Pricing and Availability
The updated Bajaj Chetak range is available now at prices starting from Rs 91,504 (ex-showroom). The new C Series naming is expected to simplify model differentiation for customers.
