Patna: The two-day Bihar AI Summit 2026 concluded at the Urja Auditorium in Patna on Sunday, witnessing participation from over 10,000 people. Governor Syed Ata Hasnain commended the diverse discussions spanning healthcare, education, and agriculture. He noted that while Bihar spent the last 20 years building strong basic infrastructure, it is now poised to lead in information technology and artificial intelligence.
Global Participation and Exhibitions
The event drew global engagement, featuring speakers from 25 states and companies from Africa, America, and Europe. Over 150 national and international firms showcased innovations in robotics and elderly care across 60 stalls. State public health engineering minister Sanjay Kumar Singh highlighted AI's potential to detect water impurities like arsenic at the panchayat level and prevent leakages, advancing the 'Har Ghar Nal Jal' mission.
AI Goals Align with Bihar's Needs
IndiaAI Mission COO Kavita Bhatia emphasized that India's AI goals perfectly align with Bihar's vast population and practical needs. The summit sparked immediate economic interest, as tech giants like BharatGPT, Sarvam AI, and Absolute Security met with IT secretary Abhay Kumar Singh to discuss investment and job creation, paving a transformative path for Bihar's agricultural economy and its 20 lakh MSMEs.
