The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two more individuals in connection with the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, bringing the total number of arrests to 13. The latest arrests include a doctor from Latur and a physics teacher from Pune, who are suspected to have played key roles in the leak.
Key accused identified
The arrested individuals have been identified as Manoj Shirure, a Latur-based doctor, and Tejas Harshadkumar Shah, a physics faculty at APMA. They are among the 13 people now in custody as the investigation widens.
Investigation progress
The CBI has conducted searches at 49 locations across multiple states, seizing documents, electronic devices, and other evidence. The agency is currently analyzing the seized items to uncover the full network behind the leak. The probe has traced the origin of the leaked chemistry, biology, and physics questions that were circulated before the exam on May 3.
