FarEye Launches PILOT AI Dispatcher to Automate Last-Mile Logistics
FarEye Launches PILOT AI Dispatcher for Last-Mile Logistics

FarEye has launched an innovative AI dispatcher named PILOT, designed to autonomously manage the entire day of a logistics dispatcher while incorporating Human-In-The-Loop (HITL) governance. This advanced tool aims to replace the manual effort involved in last-mile dispatch by orchestrating operations across 11 specialized AI agents. These agents handle route planning, driver management, recovery of failed deliveries, and invoice reconciliation from start to finish.

Key Features and Benefits

The company claims that PILOT can significantly reduce logistics processing time, cutting it down from several hours to just 60 minutes. Currently, the tool is available for enterprise pilots on a global scale. Gaurav Srivastava, Co-Founder and CPTO of FarEye, emphasized the transformative impact of PILOT. He stated, "In an industry where dispatchers typically spend 10 hours a day firefighting manual errors across multiple systems, PILOT reduces active human labor to just 60 minutes while driving a 95% reduction in dispatcher hours. The dispatcher is the most underserved role in logistics, burdened by spreadsheets while carrying the entire operation."

Srivastava further added, "PILOT is the AI co-pilot they deserve and the financial edge organizations need. While traditional firms pay a 'Legacy Tax' of manual routing and high headcount, PILOT-enabled businesses achieve a 17.5% reduction in cost-per-delivery and allow for 3-5x greater productivity from dispatchers."

Capabilities of PILOT

According to a press release from FarEye, PILOT operates across three primary domains: Plan, Execute, and Control. Its capabilities include:

  • Route Optimization: Next-day and same-day planning that accounts for weather, traffic, and dock constraints, all generated in under 15 minutes.
  • Driver Roster and Compliance: Management of shifts, detection of shortages, automated driver outreach, and real-time compliance monitoring.
  • Dynamic Slot Booking and Customer Scheduling: AI-powered delivery scheduling with proactive outreach via SMS, WhatsApp, and IVR.
  • Data Validation and Geocoding: Automated detection of exceptions such as bad addresses, overweight orders, and missing instructions.
  • Over-the-Road Safety and Delivery Recovery: Real-time delay alerts, rescue routing, and proactive customer rescheduling.
