In a significant step towards fostering artificial intelligence-driven development, IIM Sambalpur, in collaboration with IIM Ahmedabad, recently launched the AI4Odisha initiative. The programme aims to promote AI-led growth among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), traders, and local entrepreneurs in the region.
The launch event saw participation from over 350 industry delegates across western Odisha. It was marked by a workshop titled 'AI for Business Growth: From Local Markets to National Reach', which was virtually inaugurated by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Workshop Focus and Applications
The workshop concentrated on practical applications of artificial intelligence for small businesses. Key areas covered included customer assessment, business operations, supplier management, and market expansion. Participants gained insights into leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
OAV Students Excel in CBSE Class XII Exams
In a separate development, students from Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAV) performed impressively in the CBSE Class XII Board Examination 2025-26, excelling in both science and commerce streams. A total of 4,721 students from Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas appeared in the science stream exam, achieving a pass percentage of 73.5%, which is slightly higher than last year's 72%. As many as 112 students scored above 90% marks, showcasing their academic prowess.
DPS Kalinga Students Achieve High Scores
Delhi Public School (DPS) Kalinga also celebrated outstanding results in the CBSE Class XII exams across humanities, commerce, and science streams. Jhalak Mishra topped the humanities stream with an impressive 97.8%, while Naitik Jain secured the top position in commerce with 95.2%. In the science stream, Aaryan Gupta achieved 94.8%. Pro Vice-Chairperson Mala Mishra and Principal Suvabrata Mukherjee lauded the students for their hard work and dedication.
