TCS and AMD Forge AI Partnership to Scale Enterprise Adoption and Modernize Workplaces
TCS-AMD AI Partnership to Scale Enterprise Adoption

TCS and AMD Join Forces to Accelerate Enterprise AI Adoption

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a strategic partnership with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). This collaboration aims to help businesses scale artificial intelligence adoption from initial pilots to full production. The partnership focuses on modernizing legacy environments and building secure, high-performance digital workplaces.

Co-Developing Industry-Specific AI Solutions

Under this new alliance, TCS and AMD plan to co-develop industry-specific AI and generative AI solutions. They will combine TCS's domain expertise and global innovation ecosystem with AMD's high-performance computing and AI product portfolio. This joint effort will help enterprises modernize hybrid cloud and edge environments more effectively.

The companies will deploy AI-powered workplace solutions to accelerate innovation across cloud-to-edge workloads. TCS will upskill and certify its associates on the latest AMD hardware and software technologies. Both organizations plan to jointly invest in talent development to build a deep pool of experts who can co-innovate and deliver next-generation AI solutions.

Targeting Key Industry Sectors

The partnership will develop industry-specific GenAI frameworks for several critical sectors:

  • Life Sciences: Focus on drug discovery applications
  • Manufacturing: Implementation of cognitive quality engineering and smart manufacturing
  • BFSI: Development of intelligent risk management systems

The collaboration plans to deliver tailored accelerators, frameworks, and best practices to boost AI performance across both training and inference workloads. This approach will help organizations fully harness the power of AI technologies.

Technical Integration and Workplace Transformation

TCS will work with AMD to integrate Ryzen CPU-powered client solutions for workplace transformation. The partnership will leverage AMD EPYC CPUs, AMD Instinct GPUs, and AI accelerators to modernize hybrid cloud and high-performance computing environments.

Additionally, the AMD embedded computing portfolio will help customers drive edge innovation, inference, and industrial digitalization. This will be achieved through adaptive System on Chips (SoCs) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).

Executive Perspectives on the Partnership

Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of AMD, commented on the collaboration. "AI adoption is accelerating, and unlocking its potential requires a new scale of high-performance computing and deep collaboration across the industry," she said. "AMD is building the open, end-to-end compute foundation that enables AI across the enterprise. Through our work with TCS, we are helping customers translate AI innovation into new growth opportunities across industries."

K. Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services, added his perspective. "Our collaboration with AMD is a significant step in scaling AI for the enterprise," he stated. "By combining TCS's deep industry expertise with AMD's high performance computing capabilities, we are enabling organizations to move from AI experimentation to AI at scale and deployment."

Krithivasan further explained, "Together, we plan to co-create industry specific Gen AI solutions, modernize hybrid cloud and edge environments, and shape the next generation of intelligent workplace. The collaboration underscores our commitment to building future ready enterprises and advances our ambition to become the world's largest AI-led technology services company."
