The city of Lucknow is set to host a significant gathering focused on the future of medicine as the two-day 'UP AI and Health Innovation Conference' commences on Monday. The event aims to foster in-depth discussions on weaving artificial intelligence into the healthcare fabric of Uttar Pradesh.
Inauguration and High-Level Participation
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will formally inaugurate the conference. The inaugural session will see the presence of notable dignitaries including Union Minister Jitin Prasada, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, IT and Electronics Minister Sunil Kumar Sharma, Minister of State for IT and Electronics Ajit Singh Pal, and Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh.
Senior bureaucrats such as State Transformation Commission CEO Manoj Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary for Medical Health and Education Amit Kumar Ghosh, and IT and Electronics Principal Secretary Anurag Yadav will also address the attendees. The conference expects participation from several senior officials from both state and central governments.

The first day will concentrate on strategic themes like the role of AI in healthcare, global best practices, digital public infrastructure, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, data governance, and ensuring the safe adoption of AI. A review of AI application status across various Indian states is also scheduled.
The second day shifts focus to practical applications and empowerment. Discussions will highlight how AI can support frontline health workers like doctors, nurses, ASHA, and anganwadi workers. Key areas include expanding telemedicine in rural regions and deploying AI-based diagnostics for radiology, tuberculosis screening, pathology, and cancer care. The day will also feature startup pitch sessions and dialogues on formulating AI roadmaps for states.
Showcasing Innovation and Global Collaboration
An integral part of the event will be the Innovation and Experience Zone, which will showcase live demonstrations of AI-driven health solutions, startups, and pilot projects already implemented in Uttar Pradesh.
The conference boasts participation from a diverse group of national and international stakeholders. Representatives from NITI Aayog, the National Health Authority, and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will join experts from global organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Bank, the Gates Foundation, and Google across various sessions.
