US tech pro shocked by India's high student scores, video goes viral

A video featuring Tony Klor, an American tech professional living in Bengaluru, has gone viral on X after he reacted to a roadside billboard displaying the high scores of students. In the clip, Klor expressed shock at the intense competition in India and humorously remarked that he would not have been able to handle it.

Billboard Highlights High Achievers

As Klor walked past the billboard, he recorded rows of names and percentages, many of which were close to perfect scores. He appeared astonished while reading them aloud. In the video, he said, “This is why I would have never made it as a student in India. I mean look at the competition.”

Reading the Scores

He then reacted to multiple scores, including extremely high percentages. Reading the names and marks one by one, he said, “Tanishka 99.3 percent… leave a little bit for the homies. I mean Ruchi got a straight 99 flat,” Klor continued.

Users on X responded to Klor's video and commented on the pressure of the Indian education system and the scale of competition. One user said, “Sadly even after studying this hard, so many students struggle to secure a high paying job.”

Another comment read, “It’s just numbers like the population… this is the reason why Japan is the top when it comes to real education.”

Some users pointed to the competition itself, stating, “The competition is the reason why there is no actual development. Each kid has their own strengths and weaknesses.”
