IIIT Una Hosts Workshop on AI-Enabled Secure 6G Networks

A hands-on workshop on 'AI-enabled secure, intelligent and trustworthy convergent communication systems for 6G networks' commenced today at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una. The five-day event is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), the apex body established by the Government of India to fund, promote and provide strategic direction for scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Workshop Objectives and Participants

Prof Manish Gaur, Director of IIIT Una, stated that the workshop aims to equip participants with advanced knowledge and practical skills in next-generation communication technologies through the integration of Artificial Intelligence with secure and intelligent 6G communication systems. The workshop brings together researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to explore the latest advancements in 6G technology.

Keynote Speech by NITTTR Director

Prof Bhola Ram Gurjar, Director of NITTTR, Chandigarh, served as the chief guest and keynote speaker at the inaugural session. According to Prof Gurjar, the convergence of AI and 6G will revolutionize communication systems, enabling ultra-reliable, low-latency, and secure connectivity. He emphasized the need for indigenous development in this critical area.
