In a significant development for technical education in Gujarat, Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM) in Vallabh Vidyanagar has established a state-of-the-art cybersecurity centre of excellence worth Rs 1.5 crore. This ambitious project represents a major corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by global cybersecurity leader Sophos, marking a substantial investment in India's digital security education landscape.

Dr. Vinay J. Patel, principal of BVM, emphasized the centre's comprehensive approach to cybersecurity education. "This facility has been specifically designed to provide students with hands-on training, professional certifications, and direct industry exposure," he stated. "The CSR-supported investment represents a significant milestone for both BVM and Charutar Vidya Mandal, enabling us to produce skilled professionals capable of addressing digital security threats at national and global levels."
