Nagpur: Residents in several parts of Nagpur will face a temporary power outage on Wednesday, due to pre-monsoon maintenance and repair works being undertaken by the electricity department. The shutdown is scheduled between 7 am and 11 am and will affect multiple localities under the Gandhibagh and Congress Nagar divisions.
Affected Areas in Gandhibagh Division
In Gandhibagh division, areas such as Kinkhede Layout, Shahu Mohalla, 12 Nal Chowk, Fukat Nagar, Namdev Nagar, and Vrindavan Nagar will remain without power. These localities will experience a complete blackout during the maintenance window.
Affected Areas in Congress Nagar Division
Similarly, under Congress Nagar division, several areas including Shankar Nagar, Gandhinagar, Yashwant Nagar, Ambazari Layout, Hill Road, Bajaj Nagar, Dharampeth Extension, and Gokulpeth will also experience power cuts. Residents are advised to plan accordingly.
Trimurti Nagar Subdivision
In Trimurti Nagar subdivision, a wide range of localities such as Kannamwar Nagar, Ujjwal Nagar, Pawanbhumi, Paryavaran Nagar, and Pratap Nagar will be affected. However, in Lokseva Nagar and Deendayal Nagar, the outage will begin slightly later, from 8 am to 11 am, due to specific technical work. This extended timing allows for targeted repairs in those areas.
The electricity department has urged residents to cooperate and make necessary arrangements during the maintenance period.
