Noida to Build Two Digital Libraries in Sectors 44, 52

The Noida Authority is set to establish two digital libraries in Sectors 44 and 52, aimed at providing students and competitive exam aspirants with free access to books, computers, and modern study facilities. Officials have confirmed that the drawings and designs for both projects have been finalized, and tenders for construction will be issued shortly.

Project Details

The libraries will be located on Plot C-113 in Sector 44 and Plot B-195 in Sector 52. Each project is estimated to cost approximately Rs 10 crore, covering construction, books, digital resources, computer sections, and other infrastructure. Spread over nearly 3,000 square metres each, the four-storey libraries—including the ground floor—will have seating capacity for around 300 students. Separate computer sections will be developed to support digital learning and provide access to online study material.

Objective and Timeline

Officials stated that the initiative aims to strengthen public learning infrastructure and create accessible study spaces for students preparing for higher education and competitive examinations after Class 12. Blueprints for construction have been finalized, and locations in Sectors 44 and 52 have been identified. Drawings, designs, and cost estimates are ready, with construction expected to begin within the next two to three months. Construction agencies will be selected after tenders are issued.
