Audi has officially unveiled the all-new third-generation Q7, bringing a comprehensive redesign, a technology-laden cabin, and enhanced seating flexibility. Here are all the key details.
New Seating Configurations
A major highlight is the introduction of a six-seat layout with captain seats in the second row. Buyers can now choose between five-seat, six-seat, and seven-seat configurations. The six-seat version targets customers seeking a more premium rear-seat experience, while the seven-seat model remains the practical family-focused option.
Exterior Design
The new Q7 adopts a bolder design language. Up front, it features a large octagonal grille with a new honeycomb-inspired pattern. Slim LED daytime running lights sit at the top, while the main headlamp units are positioned lower in the bumper, creating a split-headlamp setup. The sculpted bumper, large air intakes, and silver lower trim give it a fresher look.
From the side, the SUV boasts a clean profile with chrome window surrounds, roof rails, and large alloy wheels. Audi offers 20-inch wheels as standard, with sizes going up to 23 inches. Optional features include soft-close doors and fully powered door operation.
At the rear, Audi has fitted new digital OLED tail lamps connected by a full-width light bar. Customers can choose from multiple digital lighting signatures. The rear section also features an illuminated Audi logo, roof spoiler, chunky bumper, and dual exhaust outlets.
Cabin and Interior
Inside, the cabin has received a major overhaul. The dashboard features a triple-screen layout, including a curved OLED display and a dedicated passenger screen. Audi has redesigned the centre console, which now houses wireless charging pads for two smartphones, larger cup holders, and additional storage spaces. There is also a new four-spoke steering wheel, extensive use of wood and leather trim, and improved materials.
Other features include a panoramic sunroof with switchable transparency, a head-up display, connected car technology, voice assistant functionality, and access to Audi’s app store. The SUV is also available with a Bang & Olufsen premium sound system featuring 22 speakers and 4D audio technology.
Audi has updated its voice assistant, which can control navigation and vehicle functions, answer general queries, and even connect to ChatGPT if it cannot provide an answer on its own.
Boot Space
The five-seat version offers up to 806 litres of boot space, which expands to 2,075 litres with the rear seats folded. In the seven-seat configuration, luggage capacity stands at up to 722 litres behind the second row and increases to 1,980 litres when the seats are folded.
Powertrain
The new Audi Q7 is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine offered in two outputs: 245 PS and 500 Nm, or 299 PS and 630 Nm. Both versions feature Audi’s MHEV Plus mild-hybrid technology, which can provide an additional boost of up to 24 PS and 370 Nm while also enabling short periods of electric driving at low speeds. Additionally, the diesel engine is compatible with HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel, which can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 95 percent compared to conventional diesel.
