Bajaj Auto has introduced a fresh variant of the Pulsar N160 in India, priced at Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom). This update brings several new features to the popular motorcycle, enhancing its appeal in the competitive 160cc segment.
2026 Bajaj Pulsar N160: What’s New
The standout addition to this variant is the gold-coloured USD (Upside-Down) front forks, which not only improve the bike's aesthetics but also contribute to better handling and ride comfort. Bajaj has also equipped this trim with dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) for enhanced braking safety, along with an assist and slipper clutch that reduces clutch lever effort and prevents rear-wheel hop during aggressive downshifts.
Beyond these upgrades, the motorcycle retains its familiar styling and equipment. It features an LED projector headlamp for improved visibility, a USB Type-C charging port for convenience, and a single-piece seat setup. The digital instrument console remains unchanged, offering essential ride information such as speed, odometer, trip meters, and fuel level. Higher variants in the lineup continue to offer Bluetooth connectivity and multiple ride modes, but these are not included in this new trim.
Mechanical Specifications Unchanged
Under the hood, the Pulsar N160 remains mechanically identical to its predecessors. It is powered by the same 164.82 cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that churns out 15.7 bhp at 8,750 rpm and 14.65 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and is equipped with disc brakes at both ends, ensuring reliable stopping power.
Colour Options and Pricing
The updated Pulsar N160 is available in multiple colour options, including Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red, Grey, and Brooklyn Black. With the introduction of this new variant, the Pulsar N160 range now starts at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model, while the top-end variant goes up to Rs 1.22 lakh. It continues to rival motorcycles such as the TVS Apache RTR 160, Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, and others in the segment.
