Motorola Razr Fold Unveiled at CES 2026

In a major move within the competitive foldable phone segment, Motorola has officially unveiled its latest flagship, the Razr Fold, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas. This global debut positions the device as a direct rival to established players like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the anticipated Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Motorola Razr Fold: Design and Display Specifications

The design of the new Motorola Razr Fold features a prominent hinge mechanism and curved edges, giving it a distinct look. On the rear, the camera module follows Motorola's contemporary design language, while the front sports a centred hole-punch cutout. Interestingly, the selfie camera on the expansive inner display is positioned in one of the corners.

The smartphone boasts an 8.1-inch LTPO inner display with a sharp 2K resolution. For quick interactions without unfolding, it is equipped with a sizeable 6.6-inch cover screen. Users will have a choice between two sophisticated colour finishes: Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White.

Camera System and Stylus Support

Photography is a key highlight of the Razr Fold. It houses a versatile triple-camera setup on the back, led by a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA primary sensor. This is complemented by a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter.

For selfies and video calls, the device provides two options: a high-resolution 32-megapixel camera embedded in the cover display and a 20-megapixel sensor on the main inner screen. Furthermore, the phone introduces support for the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, enhancing productivity and creative input on its large foldable canvas.

On-Device AI Features and Future Availability

Motorola is integrating several on-device artificial intelligence features to make the Razr Fold smarter. These include 'Catch Me Up,' which provides concise summaries of missed messages and calls, and 'Next Move,' which offers personalised recommendations based on content currently on the screen.

While the company showcased the design and key features at CES, detailed internal specifications and pricing are expected to be revealed closer to the global market launch. The official sale date for global markets is yet to be announced.
