A tragic incident occurred in north Bengaluru on Monday morning when a 37-year-old cab driver was found dead inside his parked car with the air-conditioner still running. The deceased, identified as Puneeth, was a resident of HMT Layout and originally from Channarayapatna in Hassan district. He had moved to Bengaluru just a month ago and was working as a cab driver for a private firm.

Discovery of the Incident

Puneeth had parked his vehicle by the roadside near Nelagedarahalli around 10 am. Local residents noticed that the car remained stationary for an extended period, which sparked suspicion. Around noon, a few locals approached the vehicle to check on the driver. They found him lying motionless inside the locked car. Despite repeated attempts to get a response, there was no movement from inside.

Concerned, the residents broke open the window using a stone and managed to open the door. Puneeth was found unconscious inside the vehicle. The police were promptly informed, and with their assistance, he was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors later confirmed that he had succumbed to a cardiac arrest.
