A fire broke out in a forested patch near Chinchbhuvan along Wardha Road in Nagpur on Sunday, raising concern among local residents. The blaze was reported around 11:04 am at a garbage dump and, fueled by dry conditions and heat, quickly spread to the adjoining green cover.
Firefighting Efforts
Two fire tenders from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation's Trimurti Nagar and Narendra Nagar fire stations reached the spot and brought the fire under control after more than four hours of relentless efforts. The firefighters worked to prevent the flames from spreading further into the forested area.
Cause Under Investigation
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine whether it was accidental or intentional. The dry weather and high temperatures are believed to have contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
