Koraput: In a significant milestone for the healthcare sector in Koraput district, the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Jeypore has been awarded the prestigious LaQshya, MusQan, and National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certifications. Official sources confirmed on Wednesday that the LaQshya and MusQan certifications are valid for three years, while the NQAS certification is granted for one year. Following this, the hospital will undergo reassessment every six months to ensure continuous adherence to quality standards.
Hospital Superintendent Expresses Gratitude
Hospital superintendent Akshay Rath expressed delight over the achievement and attributed the success to the dedicated efforts of doctors, patients, and all healthcare staff. “The recognition reflects the commitment of the entire team towards providing quality healthcare services. We will address the shortcomings identified during the assessment process on a priority basis to further improve hospital services,” Rath stated.
A Rare Accomplishment
“Receiving all three certifications in a single year is considered a rare accomplishment, making this a matter of pride for the hospital and the district,” Rath added. A three-member assessment team comprising experts from Delhi, Kanpur, and Telangana visited the hospital in March to evaluate it for these certifications.
Commitment to Quality Healthcare
This achievement underscores the hospital's dedication to maintaining high standards in patient care and operational efficiency. The certifications are expected to boost confidence among patients and set a benchmark for other healthcare facilities in the region.
