The Meteorological Centre in Himachal Pradesh has issued a yellow weather alert for all 12 districts of the state, forecasting continued heavy rain along with thunderstorms and gusty winds at isolated places throughout the day. According to the centre, light to moderate rainfall is very likely, while temperatures are expected to remain near normal with no large changes.

Temperature Readings Across the State

Shimla recorded a low of 17.6°C, while Dharamshala saw 16°C and Manali 14.2°C. Other readings include Kangra at 20.5°C, Mandi at 22°C, Sundernagar at 20.8°C, Bhuntar at 20.6°C, Reckongpeo at 14.5°C, Kalpa at 10.4°C, Una at 20.5°C, Bilaspur at 24°C, Hamirpur at 24.1°C, Nahan at 18.1°C, Narkanda at 12.6°C, and Keylong at 7.6°C. Kukumseri village in Lahaul and Spiti recorded the state’s lowest minimum temperature at 6.2°C.

The yellow alert advises residents and visitors to remain cautious as heavy rain may lead to localized flooding, waterlogging, and slippery roads. Thunderstorms and gusty winds could cause temporary disruptions in travel and outdoor activities. The centre has urged people to avoid venturing into vulnerable areas and to stay updated with weather warnings.
