Border Tourism to Boost Kinnaur’s Economy: Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi
Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi stated that Kinnaur is a strategically important district and that opening border tourism would significantly boost the local economy. He made these remarks while addressing residents of Lambar village under gram panchayat Thangi, located near the Indo-Tibetan border.
Negi emphasized that border tourism would create employment opportunities for locals and also reduce travel distances for the army to reach border areas. He further noted that the state government has introduced English as the medium of instruction from Class I to Class VIII in government schools to improve educational standards and ensure quality education.
