Yadagirigutta Temple Income Hits ₹243 Crore in 2025-26

The Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadagirigutta is witnessing remarkable growth in both visitor numbers and income. For the fiscal year 2025-26, the temple's income has reached ₹243 crore, making it the only temple in Telangana with gross earnings exceeding ₹200 crore. According to data available with TOI, the temple earned ₹224 crore in 2023-24 and ₹212 crore in 2024-25.

Increased Devotee Participation

Temple executive officer Bhavani Shankar stated that the amenities created have led to increased visitor numbers, and devotees are actively participating in various sevas. On a daily basis, approximately 25,000 devotees visit the temple, with numbers rising to about 50,000 on Saturdays and Sundays. On days of Swati Nakshatram, when Lord Narasimha was born under the same star, attendance can reach as high as 75,000.

Revamp and Growth

The temple underwent a massive revamp approximately 12 years ago, which significantly boosted footfall. In 2014, when the state was newly formed, the annual traffic to the temple was limited to 8.6 million visitors. However, footfall at Yadagirigutta temple has since surged to 10.2 million visitors. Along with the increase in devotees, Yadadri – often regarded as Telangana's own Tirupati – has also seen remarkable growth in its wealth. Between March 2022 and March 2023, the temple achieved its highest annual income of ₹169 crore, nearly three times the ₹61 crore earned in 2014.
