The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a bulletin indicating that Odisha is likely to experience light to moderate rain or thunderstorm activities until April 6. This weather pattern is expected to persist across the state, bringing potential relief from the recent heat.

According to the IMD, the prevailing trend of day temperatures will see no significant changes this week. This stability suggests that residents can expect consistent weather conditions without abrupt spikes or drops in mercury levels.

- Nuapada recorded the highest temperature in the state at 37.5°C.
- Parlakhemundi followed closely with 37.4°C.
- Titlagarh town reported a temperature of 33.5°C, a notable drop from Monday's high of 41.8°C.
This sharp decline in temperature was observed in several towns where mercury levels had been hovering between 39°C and over 40°C in the past three days. For instance, the city recorded a maximum of 34.8°C, reflecting this cooling trend.

In terms of precipitation, the IMD's evening rainfall report highlighted significant activity:
- Angul recorded 2 mm of rainfall during the day.
- Chitrakonda in Malkangiri district experienced the highest rainfall in the state over the last 24 hours, with 37 mm.
