Bidar: An eight-year-old boy lost his life after coming into contact with an energized electric service wire during heavy rainfall in Hulsur town, located in Bidar district, on Thursday.
Incident Details
The victim, identified as Ali, aged 8, was a resident of Momeen Mohalla, Ward No. 3, in Hulsur town. He died instantly due to electrocution from a live wire amid the rain. Following the incident, he was rushed to the community health center, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Official Response
Hulsur tahsildar Shivanand Metre visited the community health center, extended condolences to the bereaved family, and assured that necessary steps would be taken to provide relief and assistance from the government.
Gescom assistant executive engineer Ganapathy Mainale visited the spot, conducted an inspection, and stated that appropriate action would be taken to address the issue. Taluk panchayat executive officer Mahadeva Jammu, CPI Alisab, revenue inspector Sharanu Pavadshetty, and medical officer Shashikant Kanade also visited the location and performed an inspection.
Investigation
A case has been registered at Hulsur police station, and further investigation is currently underway. Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the incident and prevent such tragedies in the future.
