Ratlam Police Rescue Abducted Infant from Rajasthan Gang

Indore: In a swift operation, Ratlam police have arrested two adults and detained a juvenile in connection with the abduction of a six-month-old infant from Hussain Tekri in Jaora. The child was safely rescued from the custody of an alleged Rajasthan-based gang.

Incident Details

On June 5, Sahil, who had been staying at Hussain Tekri with his family for nearly 15 days, approached the Industrial Area police station. He reported that his family was sleeping outside a shop near Chirag Guest House on the night of June 4-5 when his six-month-old son, Sayan, went missing. An unidentified woman, a man, and a child who were sleeping nearby had also disappeared from the spot.

Investigation and Rescue

Given the gravity of the case, a special investigation team was formed under the supervision of Ratlam SP Amit Kumar. Investigators examined over 200 CCTV camera feeds, tracked possible escape routes, and analyzed technical and cyber evidence to identify the suspects and trace their movement.

The probe led police to Shivpuri, where the accused were intercepted with the assistance of local police. The kidnapped infant was recovered unharmed and reunited with his family.

Suspects Identified

Those arrested have been identified as Nizam Mansoori, 34, a resident of Aklera in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district, and Rupabai, 32, a resident of a settlement near Elan Hospital in Jhalawar. A juvenile was also detained.

Investigators found that the accused traveled from Jaora to Ratlam, then to Ujjain and Indore before boarding a Delhi-bound bus. After the rescue operation, Ayan’s parents reached Shivpuri and were reunited with their son.

Legal Proceedings

Since the kidnapping case was registered in Jaora, Shivpuri police handed over the child and the accused to Ratlam police. The accused, the rescued infant, and his parents were taken back to Ratlam on Saturday for further investigation.

Police are also examining whether the accused intended to take the child to Rajasthan or Delhi as part of a larger trafficking network. The motive behind the kidnapping is being investigated. The accused will be produced before a court to seek police remand for further questioning.
