A 15-member Bangladeshi delegation will participate in the conference, led by BGB Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui. The delegation includes senior BGB officials as well as representatives from the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Shipping, the Department of Land Records and Surveys, and the Joint Rivers Commission.
Indian Participation
The Indian side will be led by the Director General of the BSF, who will head the Indian delegation during the talks.
Significance of the Meeting
This conference is particularly significant as it is the first high-level border security dialogue between the two countries after the change of government in Bangladesh. The talks are expected to cover a range of issues related to border management, cross-border crimes, and coordination between the two border forces.
The meeting underscores the continued commitment of both nations to maintaining peace and security along their shared border through regular dialogue and cooperation.
