SSC Results: Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division Records Lowest Pass Rate in Maharashtra
SSC Results: Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division Lowest in Maharashtra

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division has registered the lowest pass percentage among all nine divisional boards in Maharashtra for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, as announced by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Friday. This division, which encompasses the districts of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Beed, Jalna, Parbhani, and Hingoli, achieved an overall pass rate of 88.4 percent. Education officials largely attributed this decline to the stricter enforcement of anti-copying measures during the Class 10 examinations.

Impact of Anti-Copying Campaign

According to board authorities, the intensified 'copy-free campaign' significantly influenced the results. The campaign covered 2,770 secondary schools, with SSC examinations conducted at 643 centers across the division. The number of schools achieving a perfect 100 percent pass rate also witnessed a drop. In the previous year, 687 schools had reported flawless results, but this year the figure fell to 482. Conversely, the number of schools with a zero pass percentage increased from nine last year to 15, indicating a broader impact of the stricter measures.

Detailed Result Statistics

Divisional board chairman Anil Sable and officiating secretary Ravindra Vani presented the results during a press briefing. Out of the 1,86,598 students who registered for the examination, 1,84,940 actually appeared, and 1,63,520 successfully passed. Among those who cleared the exam, 86,921 were boys and 76,599 were girls. Girls once again outperformed boys, achieving a pass percentage of 92.9 percent compared to 84.8 percent for boys, marking a gap of 8.15 percentage points.
