Young Travellers Lead the Way
The data reveals that young travellers are the primary drivers of this trend. The 18–36 age group constitutes 69% of all bus passengers, a cohort that includes a rising number of Gen Z travelers. Operators are investing in modern fleets with enhanced amenities such as reclining seats, onboard entertainment, and Wi-Fi to cater to tech-savvy younger passengers.
