Iran's UN Envoy Formally Accuses UAE of Facilitating US Attacks

In a significant diplomatic move, Iran's ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, has officially notified the UN Secretary-General and Security Council that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) bears international responsibility for providing its territory to the United States for military attacks. According to state media reports from Tehran, Iran is demanding full compensation for all damages incurred as a result of these actions.

Retaliatory Military Operations Intensify in the Region

Simultaneously, Iranian armed forces, in collaboration with regional resistance groups, are continuing their retaliatory military operations targeting the United States and Israel. On Wednesday, March 18, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Army executed multiple strikes under Operation True Promise 4. This operation was launched in response to what Iran describes as an unprovoked act of aggression by a US-Israeli coalition against the Islamic Republic of Iran on February 28.

Since the inception of this operation, Iranian forces have reportedly carried out 63 waves of missile and drone attacks using advanced weaponry. These strikes have targeted Israeli military facilities in occupied territories as well as US bases and assets across the West Asia region.

Background of Escalating Tensions and Regional Incidents

This development occurs against the backdrop of a recent Iranian attack targeting the UAE's Habshan gas facility and the Bab field. Abu Dhabi has condemned this action as a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law. As the security situation in the region evolves, the UAE's Ministry of Defence has stated that it routinely continues to share the nation's military capabilities, which are actively engaged in defensive operations.

Hezbollah Casualties Reported in Lebanon

In a related development, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced that more than 20 Hezbollah operatives were killed during ground operations in southern Lebanon yesterday. According to the IDF, these casualties resulted from actions by troops of the 36th Division and strikes carried out by the Israeli Air Force.

In one specific incident, soldiers of the Golani Brigade identified a cell of Hezbollah operatives attempting to fire anti-tank missiles. The IDF reports that the troops successfully neutralized five operatives in that engagement. Additionally, ground troops located numerous weapons, including RPGs and anti-tank missiles.

The IDF has been preparing to deploy additional forces in southern Lebanon and further expand its buffer zone to mitigate the threat posed by Hezbollah along the border.
