The fire broke out in a derelict two-storey house located on Duppas Hill Terrace, adjacent to the A232 Croydon Flyover. The London Fire Brigade (LFB) reported that the blaze erupted around 1:30 am on Monday, February 23, rapidly engulfing both the ground and first floors of the building.
Abhishek was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Two other individuals were also affected by the fire. One man sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. A third person managed to escape the burning structure but suffered from smoke inhalation and required hospital care.
