FBI Director Kash Patel and his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, have forcefully denied a recent news report alleging that Patel misused his official security detail for personal favours, including asking agents to escort a drunk friend of Wilkins after a night out.
Allegations of Misuse and Immediate Denials
A report by MSNOW claimed that on more than one occasion, Kash Patel instructed the FBI security detail assigned to protect Alexis Wilkins to drop her intoxicated friend home after parties in Nashville. The report suggested security agents objected to deviating from their primary assignment but Patel insisted because Wilkins had requested it. It further alleged that Patel once called the head of Wilkins' security team and yelled at him.
However, the FBI and all individuals involved have categorically rejected these claims. FBI spokesperson Ben Williamson stated he investigated the allegation after a reporter approached him. "I got this allegation on Tuesday. It sounded made up and I told the reporter so," Williamson posted. He confirmed he checked with everyone involved—Kash Patel, Alexis Wilkins, and the security detail—and all denied the incident occurred.
Wilkins and FBI Dismiss 'Party Girl' Trope
Alexis Wilkins directly responded to the claims, calling them a false and lazy stereotype. In a message to MSNOW's Ken Dlanian, she wrote, "Ken’s 3 sources: the voices in his head. Nice try, Ken. Let’s try something even remotely believable next time instead of some party girl trope that’s lame and verifiably false." The FBI spokesperson added that Wilkins "doesn’t even drink," further undermining the report's premise.
This incident is not the first time Patel has faced scrutiny over his conduct. His personal relationship, use of FBI assets for personal travel, and the security provided to his girlfriend have all been under the microscope. Recently, a report by former FBI agents claimed Patel threw tantrums in Utah after the assassination of Charlie Kirk because he did not have his FBI jacket. Patel refuted that story as well, calling it "100% fabricated" and said he was honoured to wear the jacket he was given.
Political Context and Job Security
These allegations emerge amid reported internal resistance to Patel's leadership from within the MAGA base. There were also speculations that Patel might lose his post by December 15. However, President Donald Trump dismissed these rumours, publicly stating that Patel is doing a "great job" as FBI Director.
The pattern appears to be one of allegations from unnamed sources met with firm, point-by-point denials from the FBI and the individuals named. With no corroborative evidence or records presented by the outlet, the story hinges on the credibility of undisclosed sources versus the on-record denials of the principal subjects.
