Bank of Maharashtra Launches Apprenticeship Drive for 600 Positions

The Bank of Maharashtra has officially started accepting online applications for 600 apprentice posts. This initiative operates under the Apprenticeship Act of 1961. It specifically targets graduates who want to build practical skills in banking operations.

Programme Details and Stipend

Selected apprentices will join a one-year training programme. They will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 9,000 throughout this period. The programme offers hands-on exposure to various banking functions.

Apprentices will learn about customer service, accounting procedures, and branch management. However, the bank clearly states this apprenticeship does not promise permanent employment afterwards.

Eligibility Requirements for Candidates

Applicants must meet specific educational and age criteria. They need a bachelor's degree from any recognized university. The age limit falls between 20 and 28 years.

Age relaxations apply for reserved categories as per government rules. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the local language of their assigned state.

They should provide supporting evidence through their 10th or 12th standard certificates. The bank excludes candidates with prior apprenticeship experience or more than one year of work experience.

This policy ensures fresh graduates and early-career individuals get optimal learning opportunities.

Application Process and Fees

The entire application process happens online through the Bank of Maharashtra's official website. Candidates should navigate to the Careers or Current Openings section.

They must carefully fill personal and educational details. Required documents include self-attested certificates for 10th, 12th, and graduation.

The application fee stands at Rs 1,180 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates pay a reduced fee of Rs 118. All fees include GST and remain non-refundable.

Applicants should double-check all information before submission to prevent errors. Incomplete applications or incorrect details face rejection.

Important Reminders for Applicants

Prospective candidates must submit applications before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues. They should regularly check the bank's official website for updates.

The website will post notifications about document verification, training schedules, and other announcements. This apprenticeship represents a valuable chance for graduates to understand public sector banking while earning a stipend.
