In a significant boost to employment opportunities in the banking sector, Bank of Baroda has officially launched its ambitious 2025 Apprenticeship Programme. The state-owned bank is inviting applications for a massive 2,700 apprenticeship positions spread across various states and union territories throughout India.
The online registration process commenced on November 11 and will continue until December 01, 2025, as confirmed through the official notification published on the bank's website. This recruitment drive stands as one of the largest apprenticeship initiatives undertaken by Bank of Baroda in recent years.
Vacancy Distribution Across States
The apprenticeship opportunities are distributed nationwide, with Karnataka leading with 440 vacancies, followed closely by Gujarat with 400 positions. Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra have substantial openings with 307 and 297 vacancies respectively. Other significant allocations include Rajasthan (215), Tamil Nadu (159), Telangana (154), Delhi (119), and West Bengal (104).
Smaller states and union territories including Chandigarh, Puducherry, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli have limited seats available. This widespread distribution ensures candidates from various regions can access these valuable opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria and Stipend Details
Prospective candidates must possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or hold an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government. The age requirement mandates applicants to be between 20 and 28 years as of November 01, 2025.
The bank will provide selected candidates with a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000 during the one-year training period. The programme operates under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and is designed to offer comprehensive on-the-job training in various banking operations.
Application Process and Selection Stages
Interested graduates need to follow a structured application process. Candidates must first register on the Government of India apprenticeship portals - either NATS (nats.education.gov.in) or NAPS (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in). After registration, applicants should proceed to the Bank of Baroda official website at https://bankofbaroda.bank.in to complete their application.
The selection process involves three crucial stages: an online examination, document verification, and a test of the local language specific to the respective state. This multi-tiered approach ensures candidates are evaluated on both professional aptitude and regional linguistic competency.
The application fee structure varies across categories. General, EWS, and OBC candidates need to pay Rs 800 plus GST, while PwBD candidates are charged Rs 400 plus GST. SC and ST candidates are exempt from paying any application fees.
This apprenticeship programme represents a golden opportunity for young graduates to gain hands-on experience in banking operations while developing essential skills for a successful career in the financial sector. With the application window open until December 01, 2025, aspiring candidates are encouraged to complete their registrations promptly to secure their chance at these coveted positions.
