Police Officer Donates ₹1 Lakh for Students' Education

In a commendable gesture, Subash, a special sub inspector (SSI) from the economic offences wing of Ramanathapuram district, donated ₹1 lakh to assist underprivileged students in the district who are struggling to continue their higher education.

Following an appeal by the district administration and the education department to support students who have completed Class 12 but are unable to pursue further studies due to the loss of parents or financial constraints, Subash visited the district collector’s office on Wednesday and handed over the cheque to Ramanathapuram district collector M Sivaguru Prabhakaran.

Prabhakaran appreciated the cop’s generous contribution, noting that such philanthropic efforts by volunteers and donors are crucial in ensuring that talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds do not drop out of the education system. The donation is intended to cover educational fees or provide essential material support for students in need.
