The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is actively promoting the secure adoption of digital payment methods through its 'Har Payment Digital Mission'. As part of this initiative, the central bank is observing Digital Payment Awareness Week from March 9 to March 15, 2024. This annual event aims to educate the public on the importance of safe and responsible use of digital transactions.
Theme and Key Message for 2024
This year, the theme for the awareness week is 'Safe Digital Payments', with a strong emphasis on the cautionary message 'Thoda Dhyaan Se', which translates to 'Be Careful, Be Alert!'. The RBI is encouraging users to exercise vigilance while conducting online payments to prevent fraud and ensure financial security.
