Aman Arora on Thursday took charge as the Industries and Commerce Minister of Punjab, succeeding Manpreet Singh Badal. The newly appointed minister assumed office at the Punjab Bhawan here and was welcomed by senior officials of the department.
Priorities for Industrial Growth
Speaking to the media after taking charge, Arora outlined his priorities, which include attracting investments, promoting ease of doing business, and generating employment opportunities. He emphasized the need to revive the state's industrial sector, which has faced challenges in recent years.
Focus on Investment and Employment
Arora stated that his immediate focus would be on clearing pending projects and addressing issues faced by industrialists. He also highlighted the importance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in driving economic growth and promised to provide them with necessary support.
The minister further said that he would work closely with the central government to bring more investment to Punjab. He assured that the state government is committed to creating a conducive environment for businesses.
Arora, who represents the Sanour assembly constituency, also holds the portfolio of Investment Promotion. He expressed confidence in meeting the industrial targets set by the state government.
