Bajaj Auto Ltd has kicked off the new financial year with robust sales figures, reporting a significant double-digit growth for the month of December 2025. The Pune-based automotive giant witnessed a healthy surge across both domestic and international markets, underscoring its strong market position.
Overall Sales Performance
The company's total sales for December 2025 stood at an impressive 3,69,809 units. This marks a substantial 14 per cent increase compared to the 3,23,125 units sold in the same month of the previous year, 2024. The data was officially disclosed by the company through a regulatory filing on Friday.
Domestic Market Holds Steady
In the home market, Bajaj Auto's performance remained positive. Total domestic sales reached 1,69,373 units last month, which is a 4 per cent growth over the 1,62,420 units sold in December 2024. A closer look reveals that the two-wheeler segment in India contributed significantly to this number.
Sales of two-wheelers in the domestic market were recorded at 1,32,228 units, showing a 3 per cent rise from the 1,28,335 units sold in the year-ago period.
Exports Fuel the Growth Engine
The standout story for Bajaj Auto in December 2025 was its exceptional performance in international markets. Exports of two-wheelers skyrocketed, registering a 24 per cent year-on-year growth. The company shipped 1,78,125 units of two-wheelers overseas last month, a major leap from the 1,43,838 units exported in December 2024.
This export momentum highlights Bajaj Auto's successful strategy in global markets and its ability to cater to diverse international demand.
Commercial Vehicles Show Strong Momentum
The commercial vehicle (CV) segment also posted impressive numbers, outpacing the overall growth rate. Total commercial vehicle sales for the month were at 59,456 units, a 17 per cent increase compared to the 50,952 units sold in December 2024.
This growth was supported by both domestic and export channels. Domestically, CV sales stood at 37,145 units, up from 34,085 units in the year-ago month. More strikingly, exports of commercial vehicles surged by a remarkable 32 per cent, reaching 22,311 units compared to 16,867 units in December 2024.
Analysis and Market Outlook
The December 2025 sales figures paint a promising picture for Bajaj Auto. The company has successfully managed to grow its domestic business while simultaneously achieving explosive growth in exports. The near 25% jump in two-wheeler exports and the over 30% surge in commercial vehicle exports indicate a recovering global demand and effective supply chain management.
The consistent growth in the domestic two-wheeler and CV segments, albeit at a more moderate pace, suggests stable demand in the Indian market. These numbers position Bajaj Auto favorably as it moves into the next quarter, with a balanced portfolio driving its expansion both at home and abroad.
