Central Railway to Deploy 12 Special Trains for Nagpur in February 2026
In a significant move to alleviate passenger congestion, Central Railway has announced the operation of 12 special train services under its Special Timetable on Demand (TOD) scheme. These services will connect key terminals including Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Pune, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) with Nagpur during February 2026.
LTT-Nagpur Special Train Services
The LTT-Nagpur-LTT Special, designated as train numbers 01021 and 01022, will run a total of four services. Train No. 01021 is scheduled to depart from LTT at 12:55 AM on February 14 and 21, arriving at Nagpur at 3:45 PM on the same day. For the return journey, Train No. 01022 will leave Nagpur at 8:00 PM on February 14 and 21, reaching LTT at 11:45 AM the following day.
This train will feature modern LHB coaches with the following composition:
- 1 AC 2-tier coach
- 6 AC 3-tier coaches
- 9 sleeper coaches
- 4 general second class coaches
- 1 general second class-cum-guard brake van
- 1 generator van
Pune-Nagpur Special Train Services
Additionally, Central Railway will operate Pune-Nagpur-Pune specials under train numbers 01467 and 01468, also comprising four services. Train No. 01467 will depart from Pune at 3:50 PM on February 13 and 20, arriving at Nagpur at 6:30 AM the next day. On the return leg, Train No. 01468 will leave Nagpur at 8:00 AM on February 14 and 21, reaching Pune at 11:30 PM the same day.
Booking Information and Passenger Advisory
Booking for all these special train services will commence from February 10. Reservations can be made at all authorized reservation centers as well as through the official IRCTC website. Passengers are strongly encouraged to take advantage of these additional services to ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel experience during the peak period.
This initiative by Central Railway aims to effectively manage the anticipated passenger rush and provide enhanced connectivity for travelers heading to and from Nagpur.
