Companies Flock to Sohna Industrial Township for Land Acquisition
Companies Line Up for Land in Sohna Industrial Township

In a significant development for Haryana's industrial landscape, numerous companies have lined up to acquire land in the upcoming Sohna Industrial Township. This surge in interest underscores the region's growing appeal as a hub for manufacturing and business operations.

Strategic Location Fuels Demand

The Sohna Industrial Township, strategically located near the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway, offers excellent connectivity to major markets and ports. This advantage has made it a prime destination for industries seeking to expand their footprint.

According to officials, the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has received applications from over a dozen companies spanning sectors such as automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and logistics. The total land demand is estimated to be around 500 acres, with each company requiring plots ranging from 5 to 50 acres.

Government Incentives Boost Interest

The state government's proactive policies, including single-window clearance, tax exemptions, and subsidized power tariffs, have further incentivized companies to set up operations in Sohna. Additionally, the township is being developed as an integrated industrial estate with provisions for housing, commercial spaces, and social infrastructure.

An HSIIDC spokesperson stated, "The response has been overwhelming. We are ensuring transparent allotment through a lottery system and will develop common effluent treatment plants and other utilities to support the industries."

Among the notable companies that have expressed interest are several auto component manufacturers, a leading pharmaceutical firm, and a major e-commerce logistics provider. These firms plan to invest a combined amount exceeding Rs 2,000 crore over the next three years.

Impact on Local Economy

The influx of industries is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities for the local population. Real estate developers are also optimistic, anticipating a rise in demand for residential and commercial properties in the vicinity.

However, some farmers have expressed concerns over land acquisition compensation. The district administration has assured that fair compensation as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act will be provided.

The Sohna Industrial Township is part of Haryana's broader vision to boost industrial output and attract investments worth Rs 1 lakh crore by 2025. With the current momentum, the region is poised to become a key contributor to the state's economic growth.
