The milestone was celebrated with the induction of a fresh cohort comprising 520 talented scholars during a special ceremony held at the Cummins India campus in Pune.
Overwhelming Response and Rigorous Selection Process
The program, administered through the Cummins India Foundation, witnessed an extraordinary surge in interest for the 2025–26 academic cycle. A total of over 9,600 applications were received, reflecting the initiative's growing reputation and impact. Following a meticulous and competitive selection procedure, 520 deserving students were chosen, including 20 scholars with disabilities, highlighting the program's unwavering commitment to fostering equity and inclusion within the engineering field.
Leadership Emphasizes Education as a Catalyst for Progress
The new scholars were formally felicitated by Shveta Arya, Managing Director of Cummins India Limited, and Ashish Aggarwal, Chief Administrative Officer for Cummins in India. Speaking at the event, Shveta Arya, who also serves as Regional Leader, articulated the program's core philosophy.

Today, the program creates vital pathways from ambition to opportunity for a new generation of engineers across key industrial hubs in India, including Pune, Phaltan, Ahilyanagar, Indore, Jamshedpur, Dharashiv, Vidisha, Guna, and Ranchi.
By focusing on students from lesser-privileged backgrounds pursuing diplomas and degrees in engineering, Cummins India's flagship CSR scholarship initiative continues to demonstrate how corporate social responsibility can be a powerful force for building future-ready talent and driving inclusive growth in the nation's critical engineering sector.
