IBSAT 2026 is a 2-hour, online, home-proctored test comprising 140 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) across four sections: Verbal Ability (50 questions), Reading Comprehension (30 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (30 questions), and Data Adequacy & Interpretation (30 questions). There is no negative marking and no sectional time limits, allowing candidates to navigate freely between sections.
Scholarships and Special Provisions
In addition to merit-based scholarships for top IBSAT scorers, special scholarship provisions are extended to wards of IBS alumni, wards of Defence Personnel (in-service or retired) from the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Paramilitary Forces, and physically challenged candidates. The scholarships aim to promote inclusivity and support meritorious students.
Admission Timeline and Selection Process
Following the IBSAT exam in December 2026, shortlisted candidates will undergo a centralized selection process at IBS Hyderabad in February 2027, which includes a micro-presentation and personal interview.
