IOCL Expands LPG Booking Channels in Gurgaon to Reduce Customer Congestion
IOCL Adds New LPG Booking Numbers to Ease Customer Traffic

IOCL Enhances LPG Booking Infrastructure in Gurgaon to Address High Demand

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has rolled out supplementary booking numbers in response to a significant increase in customer traffic on its existing lines. This strategic move is designed to alleviate congestion and deliver faster service to Indane consumers across various regions, as detailed in an official notice from the organization.

New and Existing Booking Channels for LPG Refills

According to the notice, customers can now book LPG refills through a newly activated interactive voice response system (IVRS) number, 8391990070, and a dedicated missed call number, 8927225667. These fresh options will operate in tandem with the established booking channels that remain fully functional.

Consumers are encouraged to continue utilizing familiar methods, which include:

  • Missed-call booking at 8927225667
  • WhatsApp messaging to 7588888824
  • The IndianOil ONE mobile application
  • The customer portal accessible at cx.indianoil.in
  • Third-party platforms such as PhonePe and Paytm

Unchanged Waiting Periods and Supply Stability

The mandatory waiting period for LPG refills remains consistent with previous guidelines. Urban customers must wait 25 days from the date of their last booking, while rural or general-category customers face a 45-day interval. This policy ensures equitable access to resources amid fluctuating demand.

IOCL emphasized that the expansion of booking lines will effectively manage rising demand during peak periods, guaranteeing quicker access to essential LPG services for millions of households. The company's proactive approach aims to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.

Official Assurance on LPG Supply and Distribution Priorities

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar provided reassurance regarding LPG supply in Gurgaon, stating that it remains normal and stable. All petroleum companies have successfully restored booking facilities through WhatsApp, IVRS, and mobile applications. Additionally, commercial cylinder supply, which experienced disruptions earlier, has been fully resumed over the past two days.

With 58 gas agencies currently serving the Gurgaon district, domestic supply is operating smoothly. Consumers are receiving cylinders within two to three days of completing online bookings, according to Kumar's assessment.

Priority Measures for Essential Institutions and Monitoring Protocols

To ensure uninterrupted supply to critical establishments, the Deputy Commissioner directed officials to prioritize LPG distribution to hospitals, educational institutions with hostels, and sports academies. He mandated that 20% of LPG stock be kept in reserve as a precautionary measure.

A district-level committee has already been constituted to oversee supply monitoring. This committee is headed by the Deputy Commissioner and includes:

  1. A police officer of superintendent rank
  2. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO)
  3. The district education officer
  4. The district food and supplies controller, who serves as member-secretary

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner instructed all sub-divisional magistrates to regularly monitor LPG stock within their respective jurisdictions and submit daily stock details to his office. He urged the public to remain calm and avoid believing rumors regarding LPG shortages, advising residents to rely exclusively on official booking platforms for accurate and timely updates.
