Karnal industrialist fixes mortuary freezer at Samalkha

Industrialist Anil Gupta of Taraori in Karnal district has repaired a deep freezer in the mortuary at the Civil Hospital in Samalkha, following an incident where a body decomposed due to a technical fault. The freezer had developed a snag, causing the body of a woman who died by suicide last week to decompose.

How the Problem Was Discovered

Last Sunday, a woman reportedly died by suicide. Her family placed the body in the deep freezer at the mortuary, but it began to decompose because the freezer had a technical issue. The matter was brought to light by local residents.

Industrialist Steps In

After the issue was highlighted, Anil Gupta sent a mechanic to rectify the snag and covered all expenses. Gupta stated that he would meet Haryana Health Minister Aarti Rao to propose a special fund for repairing deep freezers in mortuaries across all civil hospitals in the state.
